Since 2004, Bertrand Rossa’s research has focused on the meaning of “cantabile”. He set off first with keyboards, later developing his research in the direction of digital instruments. The machine’s limit is a human limit, the creator has fled and the work appears to be living. Must language, when projecting life into the inanimate, perpetuate its original meaning? The conquerable sense appears weak and contaminated and the sincerity of consumption, when it does not mislead, dulls one’s senses.

“At the turkey farm the turkey found that he had his throat cut at 9 a.m. As a good inductivist, he collected a large number of observations that he had his throat cut at 9 a.m. and made these observations under a wide range of circumstances: on rainy days, on Wednesdays, on cold days.
